Funding

The EPF needs funds to support its activity and ambitions. Funding is required for hosting the website, providing the 24 hour patient helpline, mailshots to A&E departments and administrative support to run the organisation. All the trustees, faculty and international resident advisors are honorary and receive no financial reward and give their time freely.

The only expenditure is for secretarial/administrative support, which is charged at national rates.

Donations from patients can be given by 'Just Giving' on line. We receive some financial support from equipment suppliers for surgery. We do not have any governmental support.

Sisters Katie and Alix Cordell

Sisters Katie and Alix Cordell are running the Sussex Beacon Half Marathon in Brighton on 21st February 2010 in aid of the Ectopic Pregnancy Foundation. Alix said ‘We’ve run a few 10Ks before and wanted to up the distance. Katie had an ectopic pregnancy in September 2009 and I thought this would be a good way for her to get fit again after the operation and have something else to focus on’. Katie added, ‘I suddenly thought that if we got sponsorship for the Ectopic Pregnancy Foundation it would add another dimension to the run. We could really turn what was a terribly traumatic event into something positive. The Ectopic Pregnancy Foundation is a vital resource for people who have suffered like me’.
