He returned to Sydney in 1985 when he was awarded his FRANZCOG and later his FRCOG and took up his position as Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Bankstown Hospital and St George Hospital where he continues to work till the present day.

He developed his interest in Urogynaecology during his time in London working with Stuart Stanton and setting up the first urodynamic service at West Middlesex Hospital. On his return to Sydney he set up the St George Urodynamic Centre and continued his major interest in Pelvic Floor Reconstruction and Urinary Incontinence.

He was a founding member of the Sydney Gynaecological Endoscopy Group which began teaching advanced laparoscopic techniques including minimally invasive surgery for ectopic pregnancy in 1993. SWEC has grown to become one of the biggest Advanced Gynaecological Laparoscopy units in the world running over 60 week long workshops over 15 years and training over 20 fellows from all over the world with its 2 year fellowship programme, and boasting a faculty of 10 surgeons including laparoscopic urologists and colorectal surgeons.
