Subhadeep completed his undergraduate training at Trinity College, Cambridge and University College London. He then followed varied and enjoyable foundation and core medical training programmes based mainly in Cambridge during which time he completed MRCS and MRCP. Following a year as a medical registrar he ultimately placed himself in the unusual position of choosing between training numbers in obstetrics & gynaecology and cardiology.
Now a junior registrar in obstetrics & gynaecology Subhadeep is the current East of England representative to the RCOG Trainees’ Committee. Until recently he was a clinical tutor for the Cambridge Clinical School helping to develop the clinical skills of Trinity College undergraduates.
His clinical interests lie in early pregnancy care, maternal medicine, high risk obstetrics and intrapartum care. He is passionate about achieving the delicate balance between evidence-based medicine and patient choice that is inherent to obstetric practice and believes effective communication is key to patient satisfaction
